LAFAYETTE, Minn. — The operator of a rural weekly newspaper in southern Minnesota is on the lookout to give his publication absent so he can travel to Ukraine.
Minnesota Public Radio reported Thursday that Lafayette-Nicollet Ledger owner and publisher Lee Zion is eager to dig trenches, teach college or fight in Ukraine. Prior to he leaves, he wants to give the newspaper absent for no cost.
Zion generates the newspaper by himself, reporting, editing and laying out pages for about 500 subscribers and wishes to make positive a human being dedicated to nearby journalism can take above. He says the cities he addresses would endure if the newspaper disappeared.
