Airlines to resume two China travel routes

Thailand is all set to welcome the return of Chinese vacationers right after Thai airlines were being allowed to resume running two flights concerning the nations around the world every week for the 1st time since onset of the pandemic.

Deputy authorities spokeswoman Traisuree Taisaranakul on Sunday mentioned the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) had granted authorization to the carriers to fly.

“The easing of journey limits in China is a excellent indicator and will ideally support the tourism sector rebound and make revenue from the return of Chinese holidaymakers,” she reported.

According to the CAAC, first flights will be restricted to business people and learners, but it is considered that Beijing will slowly reopen additional global flights for the general population, Ms Traisuree said.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) introduced the carriers would get turns running the flights, with the exception of people to Beijing and Shanghai.

Thai Airways International, Thai Smile Airways, Thai Lion Air and Thai Air Asia have all submitted requests to fly to Guangzhou, although Thai VietJet will fly to Kunming and Nok Air to Nanning.

Ms Traisuree also reported Primary Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha was delighted by the CAAT’s determination to resume flights to China.

He said the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will advertise tourism with practically all stringent constraints to entry for foreigners to be scrapped this Friday, she claimed.
