Center stage this week in Nashville’s courtroom 6D was the nuanced culture around medication dispensing at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in the fall of 2017. 

The criminal trial of a former Vanderbilt nurse charged with homicide in the death of a patient began Monday. Although only one person faces the charge, testimony from nurses, radiology technicians, physicians and hospital administrators put the hospital’s operations squarely in the spotlight.
